Many are asking if I still accept cake orders since I rarely post or advertise the past months. I do bake and accept cake orders but mainly depending on my free time. Apologies to those whose orders I have to turn down because there’s a conflict in my schedule.
Also, and for everyone’s info, another reason of my hesitation to accept orders is due to the price and supply of the cocoa powder I use. From less than P400 in 2022, a kg of Bensdorp cocoa powder is now reaching P1000 (see photo: CTTO). Not to mention additional shipping cost as sadly, baking stores in my area has stopped selling this brand. The other brands I have tried are either not at par in quality or more expensive.
I have yet to decide if I will adjust price of products or just remove the chocolate cake from my menu or ultimately not accept cake orders anymore.
Please bear with me as I ponder on this major decision. Thank you for understanding.
