Meet Ashley. For over a year, sheโs been a familiar, gentle face in our subdivision. One of the precious strays Iโve had the privilege of feeding every day, waiting patiently for her meals and giving soft purrs in exchange for pets.
Last July 23, Ashley took a severe turn for the worse. She was rushed to the veterinary hospital and was also confined on that date. Days later, Ashley was diagnosed with wet FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Thanks to an incredibly compassionate and kind-hearted vet who helped make it possible to bring Ashley to the clinic and stepped up to advance her treatment costs upfront, Ashley was able to start her urgent, life-saving care without delay.
I have already turned over โฑ๐,๐๐๐ (โฑ1,500 for her essential medicines and โฑ1,500 to start reimbursing our vet), but her fight just got much harder. ๐๐๐ญ'๐ฌ ๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฉ ๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ฅ๐๐ฒ raise her remaining clinic balance last Aug 7 of โฑ๐๐,๐๐๐ to cover her running medical bills and ongoing treatments. I know she is fighting her absolute best against this disease, and with your support, we can give her every chance possible.

๐๐ & ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ: Ashley was responding well to FIP treatment and recently switched to oral BASMI. X-rays confirmed the fluid in her belly had decreased compared to before.
๐๐๐ฐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ (๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐): An update on Aug 29 revealed a possible kidney problem and pancreatitis. Despite eating well, Ashley was not gaining weight or muscle mass. Repeat blood tests revealed a sharp spike in her kidney values, indicating active kidney inflammation alongside suspected pancreatitis.
๐๐๐ญ๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ฐ๐ฌ (๐๐จ๐๐๐ฒ'๐ฌ ๐๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ๐): While she lost her appetite and experienced occasional vomiting back on Aug 29, ๐ฌ๐ก๐ ๐ก๐๐ฌ ๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ ๐ก๐๐ซ ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐๐ค ๐ญ๐จ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ง๐จ ๐ฏ๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ก๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ง ๐ง๐จ๐ญ๐๐! She is fighting so hard, and her vet is maintaining intensive IV hydration and kidney support to keep her stable.
As a solo mom caring for my own rescue family of 10 cats and feeding community strays, I cannot shoulder these rising emergency bills alone. But I can bake, and every single treat ordered brings Ashley closer to surviving this! ๐
