Jodan’s Bakeshop was founded in 1994 by Danilo and Jocelyn Racaza. It started as a small bakery that sold their breads through delivery in every store in some rural areas in the province of South Cotabato. The bakeshop business cannot sustain their every day needs so Jocelyn decided to work abroad for about (insert ilang taon si Jocelyn Abroad). Using the money she earned, Jocelyn went back to Philippines in 2006 and decided that it was time to concentrate in their bakeshop business. They knew that if they want to reach more people, they need to have proper documents so when the expansion was good, the Racazas decided that it was time for their business to be registered to DTI and that happened on 2010. From then on, they participated in seminars and trainings that was hosted by DTI-South Cotabato for MSMEs. Business became good for the Racazas for they got to rent a space inside the public market in Koronadal City.
In 2006, she went back to the Philippines and stay for good. With the money Jocelyn’s saved by working abroad, slowly they started to expand their business.
It was 2010 when Danilo and Jocelyn Racaza decided to register their business and
Have same proper documents. DTI- South Cotabato helps them in their business by inviting them to attend a seminar in how to handle the business properly and also with some programs of DTI in MSME, DTI help them to have a loan in SB Corps. So that they can buy another machineries that can help in their business to produce more breads.
The business began to have more delivery-man that assigned in different route. The business also started to rent a space inside the public market of Koronadal City where they can sell more of their breads and luckily, people who just passed by in their store noticed that their bread is new their eyes and started to buy until they become a loyal customer who keep patronizing the breads of Jodans Bakeshop.
It was January of 2017 when Danilo and Jocelyn Racaza launch their new product which is BISKOTSO de MARBEL. First it is just an experiment of their daughter until one day they decided to produce and sell it to the market and eventually people who bought and tasted it started to patronized the Biskotso de Marbel. By word of mouth Biskotso de Marbel by Jodan’s Bakeshop was known, with the help also of the promotions coming from DTI Province.
