THE BURNT TOAST THEORY

When things don’t go your way

Last February, I had a flight out of Sydney that was cancelled several minutes after we were asked to get ready for boarding. The airline management announced that their engineer couldn’t get the aircraft to operate.

We were the only passengers left in the terminal. The airport had literally closed for the day already. You probably don’t know this but Sydney International Airport has a curfew for flights. No aircraft is allowed to fly in and out between 11PM and 6AM.

We were asked to go through immigration again and then proceeded to collect our luggages. Afterwhich, we were given Uber vouchers so that we can all go home for the night.

Everyone started to be grumpy. Well, as expected.

But my first thought was “thank God they managed to identify the operational/technical issue of the aircraft before asking us to board and eventually take off.”

This is where the Burnt Toast Theory comes in. It suggests that when delays happen or when things don’t go as planned, it could actually be a blessing in disguise. Those major or minor life’s inconveniences might actually be protecting you from something.

Essentially, if you burn your toast in the morning (something challenging happens), the time you spend making another slice may have saved you from a car accident or something bad.

Or maybe it causes you to be late for a meeting, but as you stroll in, you cross paths with someone who will become incredibly meaningful in your life that you wouldn’t have met otherwise.

It’s kind of like the universe always has your back.

As what I always tell myself:

If you get what you want, that is God’s direction. If you do not get what you want, that is God’s protection. You may not understand His ways but you just have to trust His will.

So the next time things don’t go your way, always remember that you are being redirected to something better.

Love and light đŸ«¶âœš

Sa online selling, hindi ka nagpopost to let people know na may stocks, but to let people know about the products; to create awareness and to tap the market for new or potential consumers.

Nagpopost tayo to promote THE PRODUCTS or THE BRAND, not the stocks.

Yung pagpopost online, that’s the heart of online marketing. Yun ang buhay ng online selling. Kapag hindi ka nagpopost, you’re defeating the very purpose of online selling.

-----

That’s why I feel sad for those online sellers sharing their experiences being belittled or kinaiinisan dahil puro daw pag-post ng paninda ang ginagawa.đŸ„ș

I haven’t experienced that myself yet but I feel the need to speak up for them.

If you want to help them, kahit hindi kayo bumili sa kanila, pwede nyo i-like or ishare ang posts nila.

Or you may just simply unfollow/unfriend them instead of telling them na hindi nakakatuwa yung puro paninda nila ang nakikita nyo.

An online seller earns by selling his/her products online. If you tell them to stop posting their stuffs online, especially to those na ito ang bread and butter nila, it’s like telling an employee to stop going to work just because ayaw mo sya makita sa office.

I’d rather see hundreds of post promoting hard work and positivity than a single post of disgusting conceitedness and ignorance.

When you buy from an online seller, you’re actually helping them to put food on their table and pay for their bills.

To be honest, kapag may nag alok sa akin ng paninda nila, if I have the means to pay for it, I buy not because I really need them, but because I want to show my support in them.

In a world full of negativity, one considerate gesture can make a difference in other people’s lives! đŸ„°đŸ™đŸ»

Looking at this Papaya reminds me of 2 things.

First, kahit saan ka ilagay ni Lord pwede kang mabuhay kasi hindi ka ilalagay ni Lord sa isang sitwasyon without giving you the wisdom to survive.

Second, kahit sa anong kalagayan natin sa buhay if we want to be fruitful, pwede. Everything is possible! Look at this Papaya, kahit napaka-complicated ng situation nya, madami pa rin siyang bunga. Hitik na hitik.

*Pagyamanin mo kung anong meron ka. Wag kang tumingin sa katayuan mo, tingnan mo kung anong magagawa mo to improve. Visualize things positively!

No one can hinder the blessings that God already set before you.

Let us always remember God's promise to us in Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. đŸ™đŸ€—

Money TIPS:

■ Don’t bring your money with you.
■ Cook at home.
■ Buy your groceries in Public Market not in Malls weekly, not daily, not monthly. (Market: Ampalaya 50/kl vs Mall 147/kl)
■ Remove unimportant expenses.
■ Lower down the cost of your important expenses. (Ex. Ganador 55/kl while Sinandoming 42/kl)
■ Buy your own tumbler and bring your own water. Avoid buying outside. (Natures Spring 500ml 15.00 while if you bring its FREE)
■ If you’re not in business don’t buy CAR.
COMMUTE: plete ka 11.00 x 2 x 26days = 572.00/month
WHILE:
CAR Expenses: 15k/month car + 5k/mo gas + 2k/mo parking = 22k/month
■ Always set aside 20-30% of your income to your Mandatory/Disciplined SAVINGS.

What makes us POOR is our bad spending habits.
