Our Story
Cherry Michelle’s Cakes & Pastries, or Michelle’s, as it has come to be known among Iliganons, had its beginnings in the 1970s when our mother, Minda Echiverri, started baking her delicious cakes and pastries, and cooking her tasty dishes for her family and friends. It was not long before she began getting orders for her yummy creations. Initially, these orders were just from her acquaintances and through word of mouth, but over time her clientele grew to include new customers. Mommy had always loved baking and cooking as a young girl. Little did she know that this passion would be parlayed into what is now a well-loved line of baked products here in Iligan City.
Today, we continue to be blessed with a stable and progressive business that has a growing list of products and an ever-expanding clientele. Our banner product is the bestselling Silvanas. Our clientele continues to savor its familiar taste, making it a comfort food for those Iliganons who are away from home. It has become a favorite pasalubong for customers from all over the world, requesting it from anyone who happens to come home to Iligan. We continue to deliver consistently delicious products like our siopao and its mini-me, siopitas. Our loyal customers depend on our ever-growing product list to help them with their party or pasalubong needs, offering a variety of products to choose from such as our fresh lumpia, baked macaroni, dinuguan, spaghetti, empanada, decorated cupcakes, sans rival, sabina bars, blitz torte, yemamon, yema cake, mango supreme, and the black princess.
