We are aware of a VIDEO that recently circulated on social media regarding an incident that allegedly happened in Catmon, North Cebu, where multiple individuals were punching a single person. See the video below in the comment section.

For the record, one of the people mentioned in the original video (which was taken down by Facebook) in some comments was labeled as connected to “The Bastap Carmen”. To be clear, this person is NOT associated with our establishment in any capacity. As it was stated that one of the persons was tagged as "Tag iya sa bastap carmen" kuno 😂

We also take this opportunity to remind everyone that NOT ALL STOPOVER establishments in North Cebu are affiliated with The Bastap Carmen.

The Bastap Carmen is INDEPENDENT.

Built on integrity, transparency, and YEARS of HARDSHIPS and HARD WORK within Carmen Municipality. We have NO involvement, directly or indirectly, in the said incident.

lawas nga nihuyang, pero kasingkasing nga wala mohawa sa pagtuo.

Mao ni ang Cebuano nga among giila sa Bastap.
Resilient, oo.
Pero labaw pa ana—faith-driven.

Sama sa mga performers sa Sinulog,
bisan kapoy, ipadayon.
bisan lisod, mosalig.
bisan way kasiguruhan, mag-ampo una bago molihok.

Kay ang kusog sa Cebuano dili lang gikan sa pagka-isog,
gikan ni sa pagtuo nga naa ang Señor Santo Niño sa matag panimalay,
sa matag trabaho,
sa matag pagsuway.

Sa Sinulog, nakita nato ang sayaw nga gihimo’g pag-ampo.
Sa katalagman, makita gihapon nato ang pag-ampo nga gihimo’g paglahutay.
Mao ra gihapon ang prinsipyo:
una kasingkasing, dayon lihok.

Mao ni ang Bastap.
Dili lang produkto.
Panindigan. Pag-atiman. Pag-uban sa katawhan—sa kalipay ug sa kasakit.

Kay kung moingon ta ug “Because Bastap Cares,”
dili lang ni slogan.
Panata ni.

Panata nga motindog uban sa mga Cebuano
bisan maglinog ang yuta,
