2019: Gold ‘n Pearl Bakeshoppe receives assistance from DOST Caraga.
Two of the best-practiced Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) adaptors in Caraga Region, Mr. and Mrs. Geronimo Autor, received a certificate of ownership from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) on Thursday, March 23, after completing the 36-month refund period of their SETUP project. Mr. and Mrs. Geronimo Autor are the owners of the Gold N’ Pearl bakeshop in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.
Awarding the certificate is the Assistant Secretary for Administration of DOST, Dr. Teodoro Gatchalian. Accompanying Asec. Gatchalian are Mr. Ricardo Varela, Assistant Regional Director for Technical Operations of the DOST Caraga, and Dr. Ruwina Gonzaga, Regional Director of the Philippine Science High School Caraga Campus.
In 2010, Gold N’ Pearl Bakeshop received technology upgrading assistance from DOST Caraga which has aided in the improved productivity of the baking process of the firm. They also became recipients of various DOST initiated trainings such as the Manufacturing Productivity Extension (MPEX) Consultancy Program which has bettered the firm’s production layout, food safety and good manufacturing practices.
