Sharing with you my quiet time today.
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Philippians 4:6 ESV
I went to bed with MANY thoughts that if I allow them to overwhelm me could turn into worry (our schedule of going back to school, finishing the villas, setting up the kitchen-finalizing the menu, kitchen layout, branding, hiring, training etc. etc. ALL BEFORE I GIVE BIRTH!). And the Lord was so sweet to remind me not to worry (if I am tempted to). Why? Because I’m holding the same Hand that led me through many things in the past.
I always remind myself: NGAYON PA BA, LORD? NGAYON PA BA?! Dami na natin pinagdaanan o. Dami Mo nang beses napakita ang katapatan Mo. Napakarami Mo nang beses na nagpakita (you showed up in moments I have nothing to give offer do) and deliver me from impossible schedules and timelines. NGAYON PA BA?! The same Hand that led me before is the very same Hand holding me now and leading me today. The same faithful God. So bakit ako magaalala? Bakit ako magpapalunod sa mga worries na di naman makakatulong at ni hindi mapapahaba ang buhay ko.BAKIT? May mabuting maidudulot?!😂
Ultimately I think our issue with worry is CONTROL. We worry because we want control over things time people and situations. At nasestress tayo kasi we want control pero ang totoo WALA TALAGA TAYONG CONTROL. We dont have control over EVERYTHING. But God has. And we can choose to trust Him and surrender those things that concern us through prayer (isa isahin mong i-name at ibigay sa Kanya) - samahan mo na rin ng pagbilang ng biyaya-magpasalamat ka. And you know you will experience PEACE-not the one brought by “nakuha mo gusto mo o nasunod ka kaya mananahimik ka” but one na “kahit hindi ikaw ang nasunod, tanggap mo na wala sa kamay mo ang mga bagay na iyon- nasa Kanya na-AND THAT’S OKAY.”😊
Today I pray this for us all. That we will experience the peace of God through prayer and be thankful that Someone else is sovereign and on the throne and not us.❤️
