Becoming a mom is not as easy as people think. It comes with a lot of sacrifices and difficult decisions—one of the hardest was giving up my corporate job.

Since I loved my job, I knew I needed to find at least a side hustle so I could still help my husband and contribute to our family.

Every day, my mind was filled with so many thoughts about how I could earn money. I hated the feeling of being a burden to others, and I wanted to do something on my own.

One day, while scrolling on Facebook, I came across a post about how to make cookies. Out of curiosity, I decided to try it. I thought baking cookies would be easy—but it wasn’t. There were many trials and errors, failed batches, and moments of doubt, until one day I finally got the right recipe.

I then decided to sell my cookies by posting them in different Facebook groups. Unfortunately, no one showed interest, and sadly, I gave up easily. I stopped making cookies and focused on looking for a job instead.

Days passed… months… even a year. Then one day, I decided to bake cookies again, hoping that someone might finally order. And then—voilà! Someone trusted my product.

I couldn’t hide my happiness. It may have been a small win, but for me, as a small business owner, it meant everything.

That’s when I decided to create my own business page and named it Lilay’s Goodies, inspired by my daughter—because she truly loves my baked goodies. Today, I don’t only offer cookies, but also other pastry products like brownies, breads, cakes, and more.

What started as a simple experiment turned into something made with love, perseverance, and purpose. 🍪🤎
