SUGAR-FREE UBE CAKE! 😱

But wait, though I used monk fruit sweetener, this cake isn't 100% sugar-free since I still used regular milk and ube halaya, both of which have added sugar. Still, this is a good step in cutting down on sugar for people who are watching their sugar levels. 🍬

Keep in mind, though, that swapping monk fruit for sugar makes a small difference. Sugar adds moisture and caramelization, which monk fruit doesn't. So, your cake might be a bit drier and crumblier, but it's worth it for your blood sugar. 🎂

And if you think sugar-free cakes would be cheaper, they're not. They're actually more expensive. A kilo of white sugar costs ₱80 while monk fruit sweetener goes up to ₱750. 🤑

Srsly though, Gram's Cakery lang ang hindi gumagawa ng "chocomoist" na cake dito sa province. Please, hindi porke't chocolate cake ay "chocomoist" na. Most bakers here use vegetable oil to make their chocolate cakes "moist" but yours truly prefers to use pure and real butter. Kasi, you know, always remember, "Butter is more flavorful than Oil." 😉
