Pre-order your Challah by Wednesday for Thursday's baking at Vera's Kitchen - sweet rich plaited brioche like bread sprinkled with sesame or poppy seeds or plain. For the Jewish New Year, or Rosh Hashana in Hebrew, which will happen on Saturday the 12th of September 2026, I'll be making round challahs with or without raisins. Also, I offer the festive round challot with magical mix of raisins, cranberries and chocolate for those who dare!!! Think on it and place your order by Tuesday, 8 Sept or earlier. Normal challahs available any other week of the year (except for Passover, of course 😉).

Karori Artisan Bread from Vera's Kitchen
NEW sourdough bread for you to enjoy: Cheese and Olives!
Ingredients: sourdough starter, water, white flour, wholemeal rye flour, treacle, salt, sunflower oil, olive oil, dark olives, yellow cheese, garlic, sunflower seeds, linseeds, yeast.
Also, the old favorites:
Cranberry and Walnut
Slavic Dark Rye

I bake sourdough bread usually on Tuesdays. Please place your order by Sunday the latest.
I bake Challah on Thursdays, pre-order no later than Wednesday.
Pick-up in Karori, delivery options and special requests can be discussed.
