Matiu's Rēwena We make rēwena paraoa using a recipe handed down through the generations and taught to me as a little boy by my nan.

Our rēwena is made with a live potato bug and is the foundation for our range, including our burger range.

Our whakapapa
Matiu's Rēwena was born like many other kaupapa, from the legacy passed down from generation to generation. Filled with aroha and tradition it grew to include our Fried Rēwena bread burgers. Today we celebrate the inspiration for the "Moko's Rēwena Burgers" spin off from my kuia's rēwena recipe, our beautiful moko turned six and continues to be the inspiration to bring our Burgers to you every week. Happy Birthday my beautiful moko and thank you to everyone who has supported our kaupapa. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou.
