Did you know our donuts freeze and reheat like a dream?! 🤤 just between you and me, these bad boys have been in the freezer for… 8 months 😅 and while I don’t necessarily recommend leaving them that long, they were still very much light, fluffy and bursting with flavour!
Our donuts are of course best served fresh. But if you can’t or you just want to order some extras to save for a rainy day.. freezing and reheating is the perfect option.
My favourite method is 5 mins in a sunny spot before popping them into the oven (I used the air fryer for this video because my oven is not clean enough to be on the internet right now 😂) and turning it on to a low heat while the donuts are already in there! The magic is in letting the donut heat up with the oven, giving them a flip after a few minutes to ensure they heat evenly and then enjoy 🤭
Of course the air fryer and microwave do the job in a pinch! But I do find the air fryer can harden the sugar quickly and the microwave can make them a lil soft and soggy - but you gotta work with what you got!

Same story with our bites too, so if you’re tossing up on whether to go large - there’s no reason not to 😉

Oh hi there, I’m Aleesha. 👋 The face and heart behind OMG! Decadent Donuts Mt. Maungnui. People often ask if I have any dietary requirements, since I run an allergy friendly food truck, but I actually don’t have any! Well except for a cinnamon allergy.. go figure 😂 I always worry that telling people I don’t have any dietary requirements while preparing allergy friendly food may come with a lack of trust. But please rest assured, I’m as informed as they come. I’ve been working in hospitality for my whole 13 year career, except for a brief stint in the dolphin tour industry (ask me about it sometime, it’s my fave thing the talk about!!) I spent 7 years working for BurgerFuel where I first learnt about Coeliac disease. During my time there I learnt the importance of ensuring against cross contamination while surrounded by contaminants and through OMG! NZ I have completed the Coeliac NZ Masterclass training. We have your health and wellbeing at the forefront of our business, always! 🫶🏻

During my time in the hospo sector, I’ve noticed a huge gap in the market for spaces where people with dietary requirements, be that by choice or because of allergies, can safely and confidently indulge without the awkward “I can’t have that…” or “do they have something for me?” convos. That’s why I’m so passionate about the OMG! brand. We celebrate inclusivity while providing a delicious product that you would not even know is allergy friendly.

📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS!

This weekend is our last weekend at for a little while! We’ve have an awesome 1+ years with them, but due to a culmination of life circumstances, we will be moving the trailer home for the winter to just do deliveries via Uber Eats starting June 3rd.
To start with our hours will be: Wednesday - Sunday 11am - 2pm / 7pm - 9pm this will be subject to change as we find what works best.
We will also still be attending markets and other events here and there so make sure you’re keeping up to date with our socials and website!

We understand this change comes with the added costs of ordering delivery, but we hope the convenience of donuts to your door and the freedom for us to be open more often will be worth it! 🫶🏻🍩

We also recently surpassed 500 followers 🤩 I am so beyond grateful to each and every one of you for the support! (We are biased, but) We’re passionate about the fact these might just be the best donuts that will ever grace your tastebuds, and you need to share them with your mates - like, immediately! So we’ll be organising a giveaway reallll soon 👀

Many exciting things to come, and for all you Pap locals, you’ll see us back at The Yard for sure! We are so thankful for the team there and the other amazing vendors who make that place what it is! 🩵

April ending marks the beginning of a very special month for us here 🦄

May is Cystic Fibrosis awareness month, and I happen to be an aunty to an incredible CF warrior, Stella, who just celebrated her third birthday in February. She is funny, caring, fiercely independent, and unimaginably brave. Stella’s diagnosis was confirmed at just 15 days old, which was heartbreaking news for our entire family.
Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited, life-threatening disorder that mainly affects the lungs and digestive system. While there is no cure, research and medications have advanced significantly, and there’s every reason to be hopeful for a cure in the future!

What if I told you that you could help?!
This CF Awareness Month, for every six-pack of Chocky Fish Donuts purchased, $5 will go to Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand and we’ll have Chocky Fish (GF but NOT vegan, sorry folks) available at the trailer for a gold coin donation 😍
