Before school:
You can drop your child off to Coast Kids (in their pyjamas if they want) - children will be given a healthy breakfast of cereal, fruit, toast, juice, hot chocolate or milk. They will then get dressed, brush their teeth, hair etc. We will make sure their homework is done (if there is enough time) and we will then drop them to their school (or bus stop) 10 minutes prior to start or departure time. After School:
We pick up children from all Papamoa schools, children are taken back to the Coast kids club rooms where they receive afternoon tea of fruit, biscuits, sandwiches, juice and always a warm light meal. Afterwards children can choose from a range of activities like Rock climbing (Greerton), Drift trikes, Archery, Foam Pit with Trampoline, skate park, roller blades, adventure playground, bmx riding, arts and crafts, team building games, cooking etc.. There is always lots of activities to choose from. We also offer a 15 minute homework time for children who require this. You have until 6pm to pick up your

Winter HP 26 🥶 ❄️ Day 9: Glow Crazy

We are done whanau. And what a day we have had. Today was just lowkey chill and kept it pushing, but the energy is tired and we are tired. So this morning we made brownies and jelly. Hopefully the Jelly sticks if they take it home but the brownie is on point whanau!! So good.

This afternoon we had our glow crazy with the setup in the movie room, the kids were done though. So we did our glow stick games and had a Saturday night kanikani like our grandparents used to back in the days. Good energy, good vibes, good kids. Shout out to EJ, Simone and Zoe for running the ship today while Mātua H did the behind the scenes stuff (Like sleep, eat the brownie, not do to much). But no, shoutout to our CK staff over the holidays for doing the mahi, getting the treats and making our kids the focus of a great holiday programme. We are done whanau.

Winter HP 26 🥶 ❄️ Day 8: Slam Jump

Lesssssgoooooooo, hissing and a roaring day to be out and about, But also Mātua H 2nd fave day behind Build-A-Bear hahahaha. Today we made Cheeeeeseeeeburgersssssssssssss and they were delicious hahahahaha yaaaaay. Kids knew the drill, Mātua H knew the kaupapa. Eat it or he will. So kids defs ate their cheeseburgers today!!! After our morning activities we headed off and set sails to Mercury Baypark to start our Slam Jump time at 12noon. It was so much fun, can’t tell you how great the hospitality was, the staff were lovely, contrary to popular reviews we loved it so much!! Have two book and try it whanau or you miss out!! Hehehe.

After our Slamjump session we cruised off to the park for some fun and to eat our lunch, after which a quick run around and time to cruise back to the center to finish our last day out for the Winter HP!! Last day tomorrow and we are going in for the disco fun, bring your boogie shoes as Mātua H is the king of the boogie down!! That’s what it is when you grow up in Huria hahahaha day done, we out.

Special shoutout to our new friends at Slamjump!! Great customer service, great staff, awesome facilities and so much fun!!

Winter HP 26 🥶 ❄️ Day 7: Italian Day 🇮🇹 🍝🍕

La dolce vita, We are here for our Italian day here at the center. This morning we kept it lowkey and low maintenance by doing everything under the sun to make pizzas. Hehehe the CK fave. Easy to make, and quick as well. We got stuck into that in the kitchen this morning and decided to keep it to one group for everyone. Works out well that way because boy our younger kids aren’t the best at deciding what toppings they want on their pizzas. But lo and behold we got it done. While they were pizza making with Jireh, we had Ali in the concrete room running our pasta games. 2 teams, 1 winner, you know the know whanau. Kids got competitive and there was a bit of banter, choice words and spirit in the games but they all did amazing. Be proud parents!! Lunch break and then into the afternoon.

This afternoon, our kids got stuck into necklaces and a bit of crafts to finish the day off, nothing to epic but the vibes and the energy to make it a strong finish, now we are done for the day.

Tomorrow our slam jump session kicks off at 12pm but we are aiming to leave at 11:10am. We will be in center in the morning doing our cheeseburgers but will head out to Mercury Park.

Winter HP 26 🥶 ❄️ Day 6: Movie Day 🎥🍿🎬

Tēna tātou e te whanau. We are at movies for today, this is the update:

We departed the center at 9:15 today to go up against the closed road traffic that congests Greerton side from getting to and from places on time but hey, we made it through!! We got their on time to start our movie session. Wizzed through the mall to hardly any foot traffic and made it into our Movie session at 10:15 on the dot. Hehehe we good like that!!

After our movie session finished, we got blessed with the beautiful sun, and hit the park for some basketball, sports, and some lunch!! Being out in the sun at this time of year just hits so different!! We are grateful to be in the sun and we are done for the day. Enjoy the pics. We are back in the center tomoorrow

Winter HP 26 🥶 ❄️ Day 5: M&M day

Tēna tātou e te whanau. Welcome to week 2 of our Winter HP

This morning we started off with our baking in the kitchen with Zoe who did both our brownies and blondies, and our cookies in the kitchen. Let’s talk about it. They turned out real well even though they didn’t bake right through but they tasted so good!! Diabetes on a tray it is. While the kitchen was being occupied for the baking, the Playground was being occupied for our activities and it was such a good day!! The sun was shining, it was frosty but it was beautiful weather!! How lucky we are to have had a good day out on the playground. Shout out to Ali and Jireh for running the ship outside with some fun-filled activities and making it competitive!! How good was that!

We had lunch and got stuck into our afternoon activities. We made tiles and the final result varies on how well they dry with the grout and glue!! Pictures to come and you can find out for yourselves.

For tomorrow team, our movie time starts at 10:15am so we need to leave the center at 9:15 and fight the traffic on our way over, so please be on time as we need to time it perfectly!! Hei apopo.

Winter HP 26 🥶 ❄️ Day 4: Mātariki

Mānawatia A Matariki e te whanau. We finish the week off with our Matariki themed day in the center. This morning we did our baking and arts and crafts with Matariki stars. Nice simple and easy way to start our day off.

Moving over into lunchtime we did pizzas! If you know Mātua H, then you know he doesn’t like pita bread for pizza bases so he does the dough from scratch and it’s a way better alternative than the pita bread. Check out the photos from our pizzas and from the day!! That ends our week and thus begins the start of the Māori new year. We hope you all have a lovely long weekend and see you all sharp and ready for Monday!!

Winter HP 26 🥶 ❄️ Day 3: Battle of the Centers

Tena tatou, we are on our first out of center trio for the day. This morning we loaded up the vans and the bus and headed over to Mercury Baypark for our Funky fun sports day with Papamoa. What a time we had and what a way to start. In the morning we split into 3 stations and got stuck into free time, floor ball, T Ball and Basketball. Good quick sessions and we were straight into lunch. After lunch we got stuck into dodgeball, tug of war and some free time again. Tug of war was always a good choice and the leaders love smoking the kids to make them humble. But all in all it was a day had and a day won. Onto the next whanau. Thank you too our friends at Mercury Baypark for organising and Co-Ordinating the day while we got to enjoy it with the kids.

We are in Center tomorrow for Matariki to finish our first week of The Winter HP.

Winter HP 26 🥶 ❄️ Day 2: Build-A-Bear 🧸🐻

How good whanau!! The best day of our HP and we were packed to the 9s. Full centre, heaps of energy, plenty of kids, eyes ready and locked in to do the activities, all our kids were on. Even our leaders. The day started off as such.

This morning we split into our waffle making group and our crafts groups!! Our kids were amazing and energy was flowing. We started off slow but at the end of it!! Hissing and roaring. Easy morning to get ourselves ready for the afternoon.

After lunch we got extra hands and did our build a bear, by far what we were all looking forward to doing. We enjoy something new but our kids did amazing!! Hands down so much fun. Won’t explain what we did but hopefully our photos reflect the day we had!! We won the day whanau.

Tomorrow we are out of center at mercury bay park. We will be leaving sharply at 9:15am. Due to a road closure, we need to be there earlier as traffic is unpredictable atm. Please make sure to arrive earlier if possible.

Autumn HP 🍂 Day 9: Pyjama Slumber Party

Peeeriooooodtttt, Kia ora whanau. Today is our last day of the Autumn HP. Today was our day to be lazy and slaaaaaaaay. What did we do today?

This morning we did our nail salon and pampering station, we did our nails, we laid back and let the kids be the leaders, and the leaders get the treatment…. Hehehehe…. Not really but it was a day for everyone. We ran out of time to do our pizzas before lunch so we had lunch first then got stuck into the afternoon.

After lunch, we did our pizza station. Mātua H loves making the dough from scratch. It’s better that way. This is his specialty cause mans can’t bake, but he can eat, play golf and make a bucket.. The kids got to make their own pizzas with the toppings. That was lunch for the afternoon and that was time on the programme. We cut the programme short as some of the kids started rebelling and were done by 2:30. Thaaaank you for joining in on our CKHPTVinHD. Apologises for lack of photos today. It was a full on Friday to end the holidays but we made it.
