The Story Behind Wild Nekta

The Wild Nekta Team

Hannah, her husband and their 4 children are local, growing up in the Far North of New Zealand. Although Hannah and her husband left home in their early twenties and travelled the world, they returned to the beautiful Far North in 2015, and saw potential in what would soon become Wild Nekta Cafe and Bakehouse. Hannah has been surrounded by food as long as she can remember, her mother and grandmother being amazing cooks; seeing them whip up incredible food from nothing has inspired her. Her mother owned a very successful cafe in KeriKeri for a number of years, and this also inspired Hannah to open her own food business. Taipa was lacking a good quality cafe where customers could enjoy dine in or takeaway coffee and meals, as well as delicious homemade sweet and savoury treats, including pies and breads. Wild Nekta has an amazing team of staff who are known locally for going the extra mile for their customers. They are working hard towards creating a more sustainable operation, using reusable, recyclable, compostable or biodegrade-able items whenever possible. The family are very community minded, helping out wherever and whenever possible through the likes of school fundraisers, and community and charitable events.
