Volunteers needed for Queenstown parkrun this Saturday.

I'm Run Director this Saturday (and next Saturday too) and we're looking for a few volunteers to help make Queenstown parkrun happen.

We're looking for marshals, a timekeeper, barcode scanners and finish token support.

No experience needed - training and support provided!

As a thank you, I'll bring some bakery treats along for the volunteer crew, and volunteers can enjoy a free coffee/hot drink at Bakers Lane afterwards.

Sweet treats for the Wakatipu High School First XV's 🏉 important home game today!

Absolutely love putting these boxes together for the rugby boys. 100 freshly made donuts filled with Nutella and jam, lolly cakes and chocolate cornflake clusters — the best kind of recovery fuel😍

We’re giving these little cakes out today for the mums who pop in 🌷
Just a small sweet treat because you deserve it.

And for me personally… I’m extra happy today because I’m spending it working alongside my boys.
Long bakery days feel pretty special when your family is part of it.

After a few weeks of testing (and eating a lot of custard squares)… we’re done!

This was requested by a persistent regular! It took a while to get right.
Batch after batch all from scratch!

Pastry ✔️
Topping — I know there was a poll but decided to toast some organic coconut chips from because looks pretty and has a nice subtle flavour.

These are now in our cabinet.

Portuguese Egg Tarts

One of our original cabinet favourites that has stayed with us since the early days of Bakers Lane.

Pastry and custard filling all made from scratch, with our own recipe that’s been developed and refined over time.

Absolutely labour-intensive… but made with lots of love.
These have always been one of my personal favourites.
