The state of these places is extremely upsetting. People live in this particular area in appalling conditions.
The authorities are bowling many over for a big redevelopment .
It is on the opposite side of the road to the sea in many instances.

It gets dark at 5.30 5.45 pm all year round in Peru. 🇵🇪 Limas weather is cloudy and overcast from May until December. Their rain fall is very low it’s more like spits of rain , a resident told me. Yesterday was an exception he said, the sun could be seen in the sky. 25 c and 75% humidity.
I don’t know if it’s cloudy or layers of pollution ?

The tooting by excitable drivers on the car horns is deafening . They scream around town slamming on their brakes and tooting.
When you get an uber you have to give the driver a PIN number from your booking they need thus before your car moves. A 10 minute drive is priced as low as $3 OR $4
USD .
All the cars I drive in were manual and dirty. 🌺

Returning to the ship after a sleep over in a nice Hotel

in central Lima Peru
I chose to stay as the ship berths in a busy industrial wharf a 60 minute shuttle ride from the city. It’s deemed as an unsavoury area
With much crime
and not safe for us precious passengers . 🤣 I will put photos up of the sad state of the area we passed through , these shanty town homes on our drive to Lima city were pathetic.
My word , we have much to be thankful for . 🙏

What we had for dinner , a real treat , great company and food. Right over the road from our hotel.

Perfect off the roads of the hideous Lima traffic. 🌺🙏

The hotel Foyer in Lima , seafood restaurant tight across the narrow street. Perfect . Many washing his car at 7,45pm why not.
A Peruvian lunch plate of beef, rice and chips hard case they all loved it . Onions just cooked nice and crunchy. Soy and coriander based.
