Coming Saturday we will be at the Southland Multicultural Trust- Southland multicultural Festival in the ILT Stadium.

This event holds a special place in our hearts as it is the first event we started at back in 2022. We are very excited to be back for another year.

Come and score a Dutch apple pie and try out one of the other 68 cultural food stalls! This surely is a great taste around the world

This will also be the last time until mid May to get an apple pie as we are taking a break to visit family in the Netherlands and maybe do up some new inspiration along the way

What a busy weekend we have in store!
On Saturday we will have a double whammy!

First up we will be at the South Dunedin Street Festival 2026. Yes we we are back in Dunedin this Saturday! It will be amazing with lots of Dutch apple pies, Sour cherry pies, Oliebollen and other Dutch baking. Come along and join the fun!

On Saturday we will also be at The Remarkables Market in Frankton! Find us in the barn next to my daughter Alexis and her friend Esme. They are fundraising to go to Jamboree at the end of the year with a great baking stall. Keep in mind we don't have eftpos at this location this week. There is an ATM on site though.

And on Sunday we are at the Southern Farmers Market where we will be joining in the celebrations for National Farmers Market week. There will be lots of tastings at many stalls.

Come along to any of these events and say hi!

Time to get your apple pies! We are outside at the playground side of the market. See you there!

Introducing the Lake Hayes Larder - supported by Duncan Cotterill

We’re thrilled to unveil an exciting new feature coming to the 2026 Lake Hayes A&P Show… the Lake Hayes Larder.

This brand new foodie hub celebrates everything we love about local produce, passionate makers, and great flavour. Expect artisan stalls, tastings, interactive experiences, special guests, and live cooking demonstrations, all set beside the lake.

You’ll be able to wander, sample, and discover incredible local businesses including OrangeFern Bakes, Rifters, Nekta Klektaz (honey and bees), Sweet Escape, Chalten Alfajores, Thermomix®, Picker’s Pocket, The Original Smoke & Pickle, Taste of the Alps, The Baking Nomad, The Country Cakery, Hahana Fruit Cherries, Wanaka Wastebuster, and Kiwi Artisan.

The Lake Hayes Larder brings the theme of paddock to pantry to life, showcasing the food story of our region in one vibrant, delicious space. Whether you’re a dedicated foodie or just love discovering something tasty, this is a must visit on Show Day.

Trust us, your taste buds will thank you.

This week is sooo exciting! We will be in Gore on Friday evening for the MVM Hokonui Culture Feast at the sports complex. It will be a lovely evening with lots of different culturals to sample food from. We will be there with our apple pies and oliebollen and we are taking our stroopwafel machine too! Thin caramel filled waffles for the win!

Then on Sunday we will be back in Gore! This time for the Rhododendron Festival in the Gardens. Such a lovely setting and it seems a really nice lively event with food and craft stalls.
