A little milestone we’re incredibly proud of…
This year we entered our very first baking competition through submitting the loaf that started it all – our sourdough.

We’re proud to share that we placed 6th in New Zealand. To have our sourdough recognised alongside bakeries we admire and look up to is something we’re truly grateful for.

Our little Leaven bug began back during the COVID lockdowns with one simple goal: to craft a loaf using traditional methods with 4 simple ingredients; water, flour, salt and time. Countless loaves, plenty of learning, and a whole lot of persistence later, that little bug inspired our bakery’s name – Leaven.
So it feels pretty fitting that the first competition we entered was the Artisan Bread Competition.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our little bakery and our sourdough journey. Every loaf you’ve bought has helped us keep learning, growing, and doing what we love.
Here’s to the loaf that started it all. 🥖🤍

🌧️🍩 Doughnut Day is here! 🍩🌧️
The weather outside might be a little miserable, but that’s all the more reason to treat yourself to something delicious!
Brave the rain, and come and grab a doughnut (or two 😉). There’s nothing quite like a fresh doughnut and a hot coffee from caffeinate down the road on a wet winter’s day.
We’ve made plenty and have lots available, including our filled doughnuts, cronut favourites, long custard doughnuts, and classic cinnamon sugar doughnuts.

Say hello to one of our most loved classics… our long custard filled doughnut 🤭

Soft, fluffy doughnut goodness filled generously with our very own house made custard, rich, creamy and absolutely delicious. The kind of doughnut that disappears far too quickly 🍩
These will be available for International Doughnut Day on Friday the 5th of June, alongside a range of our other delicious flavours we’ll be featuring over the next few days.
