And that’s a wrap!
After 3 months of baking the Starship bake-off fundraiser is coming to a close and I’m thrilled to say we’ve raised just over $9000 to help sick children at Starship Hospital! 🇳🇿 💜
So a big massive THANK YOU to each and every one of you who supported, donated, ordered, shared, and cheered me on through this incredible journey.
Someone once asked “Why not just donate the money yourself?”
Truth is — this was never just about what I could give. It was about how far we could go together. Every order, every cake, every share meant more hands holding a sick child through a tough time. Along the way, I heard so many touching stories from parents whose little ones were saved by Starship — it reminded me that behind every bake was a family, a memory, a journey
Today, as I wiped down my kitchen bench after my final bake, I felt a strange mix of emotions — a little sadness, a lot of relief, and a huge amount of gratitude. I couldn’t have done it without my family behind the scenes, especially my children and amazing husband. And ofcourse my ever-patient work colleagues who endured my constant baking updates.
While I’m looking forward to a well-earned rest and a clutter-free kitchen, I’m incredibly honoured to have done this — and truly grateful for the support, kindness, and trust you’ve all shown.
I hope to be back again next year. Until then, thank you — for being part of something that’s made a real difference!! 💜
