Hello dear community! I wanted to let you know that I made a $300 donation to KidsCan this evening, the money from everybody’s bread purchases over the past year 🙂
This will go some distance I hope at the moment, as many families in NZ will be facing hardship, including those with children who relied on provision of food at school.
Thank you for all of your bread purchases from Moana Loaf (and shared enthusiasm), I’ve really loved doing it - making the bread, creating, problem solving, and most of all, connecting with heaps of you in my community. There were some late nights had over the oven haha! But I really enjoyed connecting with so many of you, especially when my hospital working hours were long, it was special to feel that community vibe. I am confident we can hold onto that in the times to come.
I hope to do it again in the future! Thanks for your support! In the mean time, stay happy and healthy. If anyone needs any sourdough tips or problem-solving help, feel free to message me any time 🙂
Let’s keep that community spirit high!
Xx Amelia MacDonald
PS I have attached some photos from the bread-making venture. Me checking out the bread rising in my hot car, Warm and fresh loaves, bread wrapped up, waiting on the mat for the customers, and me being weird at some ridiculous hour of the morning trying to bake the bread after I got home from work later 😂 good times!
