Hello, is anyone still here? :)
I wanted to share a little life update with all the wonderful Sweet Alchemy supporters. It’s been a month since my little business, my husband, and I moved to Christchurch in search of better opportunities.

It didn’t take long before I baked my very first honey cake here in Canterbury! I really hoped it would be as well loved as it was back in Wanaka… and it was! :) Empty, wiped-clean plates were proof enough!

Today, I also delivered a couple more cakes—one small, the other even smaller—just a little something to nibble on. Both were delicious carrot cakes with cream cheese filling sweetened with white chocolate and wrapped in brown sugar Swiss meringue buttercream.

My new kitchen is officially blessed with its first bake, and I’m happily stepping into the next sweet adventures ahead! :)

And because it's the last one, I’ve decided we’ll bake your favourite macarons together at a big discount as a thank you to everyone who supported me this past year, whether by visiting me at the markets, placing an order, or simply sharing a kind word.

Dear friends,

You’ve absolutely flooded me with all kinds of orders the last few days — and I’m truly grateful for it! It brings me so much joy to bake for you, especially something as unique as my honey cake, which you won’t find in just any café. It’s become a clear bestseller, and I’ve made it in all sizes — from tiny minis to giant double barrels — and every single one has been a delight to create.

Many of you have asked to buy just a few slices, and although I hesitated at first, I’ve finally given in — and here we are!

Monday, 7th July will be the last day you can enjoy my honey cake by the slice here in Wanaka before we leave.
Orders close on Thursday evening, 3rd July.
$10 per slice.

There has been a growing demand for my sweets — and I’m so grateful for that! Sadly, there are only two weeks left to place your orders.
Sweet Alchemy is leaving Wanaka with me, and it breaks my heart to say no to all the cake requests I won’t be able to fulfil after mid-July.

If you’re celebrating something soon, or simply craving a piece of Eastern European goodness you discovered at the local markets last summer, message me.

✨ Sweet Alchemy’s Big News ✨

After a lot of soul-searching and late-night chats over cups of tea, we’ve made a huge decision — Sweet Alchemy is packing up its bits and pieces and setting off on a new adventure in a new city.

This little baking dream of mine has grown and flourished here thanks to your support, encouragement, and all the love you’ve shown along the way. I’ll forever be grateful for the wonderful people I’ve met, the classes we’ve shared, and the joy we’ve created together in the kitchen.

But wait — it’s not quite goodbye yet! We still have 3 more weeks before we go, and I was wondering...
Would you be keen to revisit your favourite baking experience one more time?
I’m thinking of squeezing in a few final classes at a special discounted price as a way to say thank you and celebrate this beautiful chapter with you.
