Hi everyone! My name is Ksenia, and I’m the person behind Why Not a Dessert. I bake meringue rolls and cakes in the registered, licensed kitchen here in Christchurch.

Pavlova is one of the most iconic desserts in New Zealand- but no one makes it as a roll. That’s where my idea was born: to create a new way to enjoy this classic. If you love pavlova, you need to try this version! Light, crisp meringue, filled with cream and topped with strawberry/ blueberry - a beautiful twist on a Kiwi favourite.
