Ōtautahi, meet Bernard van Rossum - a Spanish-Dutch tenor player touring Australia and New Zealand. He leads the award-winning BvR Flamenco Big Band, three albums deep, with Antonio Serrano and Carles Benavent among the guests along the way.

He’s visiting Ōtautahi Christchurch for the first time, and stripping it back to a quartet with Nick Pitts on piano, Luke Belcher on double bass and Cameron Finlay on drums.

This Thursday 27 Aug we are excited to welcome Spanish-Dutch saxophonist and composer Bernard van Rossum (NZ) Quartet who is performing around Australia and New Zealand tour.

“His engaging compositions are awash in perception and authenticity” (All about Jazz).

Bernard will be joined on this occasion by Christchurch locals.
