Now for my proud Mum/Aunty post 😍

Papamoa turned it in for Oceans 26! What an incredible event!

For James it was his first Oceans! And for my little guy he really rose to the occasion! Finishing races he hadn’t at previous comps, giving it his all, and what I’m most proud of is when he got knocked down, he got back up and did Ōrewa proud! 👏

My beautiful niece Bella, made Semi’s, and raced with a smile on her face. She should be extremely proud of her achievements! She is kind, polite and so supportive to her team and all those around her. Thanks for staying with us and putting up with our crazies!

Maddie, unfortunately Oceans didn’t go to plan for my Mads, she came down very sick on Friday (later to find out it is strep throat). She showed so much grit and resilience stepping into race on Saturday morning to get the participation medal (run swim run) and gosh it set off Mumma bears waterworks 🥹 I was soo incredibly proud of this achievement for her, and as you can see from her pic, it took a lot!

Charlotte, our #1 supporter - dragged to the beach for 7am starts, give this girl a bucket and she will collect shells all day! It’s hard work being the youngest and whilst she doesn’t always show it, deep down I know she loves it 😜

How amazing is it that we get to spend days on the beach with a great bunch of friends! My kind of sport!

This is how I met life long friends on the sand 28 years ago and now seeing my kids do the same is the absolute best! 💫
