I wanted to create a vanilla base sponge cake that was available year round, because it’s such a pain that strawberries aren’t in season for most of the year!

For some reason you guys ordered all your cakes for Friday this week so this Saturday has a few less cakes! I wish I had taken videos of the 30 (yes 30) cakes I made on Thursday, but it was 10pm and dark by the time I finished those 😪

One of my big goals this year is to consistently make little collections of cakes to celebrate holidays and celebrations throughout the year, and we really start with a bang on V Day!

2025 was such a wild year for us over here at From Sugar, I hired my first ever employee, made so many beautiful wedding, birthday and celebration cakes, and felt so blessed to be able to work full time at a job that I love.
