Ghode Jatra festival is celebrated every year on the day of Chaitra Krishna Aunsi. On the occasion of Jatra, the government declares a public holiday in Kathmandu Valley today. On the occasion of Jatra, the Nepali Army performs horsemanship, motorcycle games, physical exercises, martial arts, etc. in Tundikhel.
