Some customer interactions are even better than others…

Let me start by stating that we are blessed with the fact that we only seem to have nice customers. Really, we do! Therefore almost all customer interactions are also nice.
However, this one stood out:

A regular customer comes in and orders ‘his’ NO-tuna salad to go. He has a smile on his face, the interaction is friendly and efficient. We prepare the bagel, wrap it, and hand it to the customer.

He is about to leave our shop but stops and turns around.

He says, "Oh, ehhh…"

There is a pause of several seconds that feels more like minutes.
Clearly he is searching for the right words to accurately express his feelings.After the pause he continues...

“I love your shop.”

We reply, "Thank you for sharing this and for coming back. See you again soon."

We love our job!
