Just want to share a sweet treat from Indonesia. Although I was born in 🇳🇱, my grandparents and parents were born in the Dutch East Indies.
In my chilhood my grandmother aka Omi made me this sweet treat called Klepon. For those who are not familiar with this treat, I will explain.
It is a ball made of rice flour filled with liquid palm suger and coated in grated coconut. The vibrant green colour is because of the use of pandan paste. When you take a bite the liquid palm sugar bursts in your mouth.
Today was the first I made this myself, to honor my grandmother and mother because for a couple of years they are my guardian angels 😇🙏🏽🕯
