Let's go 2026.....let's first share with you that we're actively looking for a co-producer/partner to create a sharp sharp range of products to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth.

There you have it, we have been searching but not with the best of luck so far, so maybe it's better to let everyone know so that we might find one in our network.

In the meantime we're working on a few projects:

a podcast series about our journey: starting as a micro bakery to a scale up, delivering to retail and scaling down to figure out what's next.

to continue to create inspiring video's of our cakes, ingredients that we use and what our baking process looks like

finding a format to share our recipes, through a cookbook, online platform or another partnership so that you can all make Sharp Sharp at home.

In our stories we're asking you for a bit of advice on what you would love to see first or what you have been wanting from us since we stopped baking. It would be of great help to us if you take a look at these polls in our stories.

First a huge thank you for all your love & support in 2025! As well as in all the years before and hopefully in all the years that follow.

It’s been a year, ( taking a deep breath…..) filled with the closure of our company as we’ve known it the last 11 years. No more baking, no more busyness of everyday orders, no more cake meetings and cake love of all the amazing people who love Sharp Sharp.

But wow even now, 6 months later we’re still processing our year, making peace with our decision while working on a future for Sharp Sharp. But if we’re going to dive into all that’s happened this year, we could write a book filled with many chapters.
So let’s narrow it down to 10 mayor events in 2025:

1 Breaking our cake vows; closing down our bakery after 11 years, changing the way we have been running our business and taking a step into the unknown.
2 Creating new special cakie rounds; for our last events filled with coffee and chocolate and a special strawberry and lime cakie round.
3 Selling out our entire stock of Sharpies; while making sure that everyone could get their favourite one.
4 Our last catering event; for the School of moral ambition in Cafe Clementine together with the Robin Food Hub.
5 The final markets; at the Rotterdamse Oogst & Fruitpacking district, with tears, goodbye’s and a lot of love
6 Cleaning out our bakery; and storing all our baking equipment for the future.
7 Leaving the Netherlands; for a journey in our van Newstrøm through Europe
8 The final photoshoot; on a beach in Norway from our last Sharpies made in our bakery in Barendrecht.
9 Uploading our first video; from our “behind the Sharp Sharp cake story” series to YouTube
10 Baking a x-mas cake; in our van/mobile kitchen while traveling in Spain

Let’s celebrate 2025 & make 2026 an amazing year filled with dreams that do come true. Loads of love & big thank you’s

Ready for a glimpse, into our plant bakery, featuring our beloved cakes? A small teaser of what we’re going to share with you the coming months.

We’re going to bring you a lot of video’s, filled with everything we made in our bakery, why we do what we do, how we develop our cakes and what we’re going to do next.

We hope to inspire you, show you how we work and answer all your questions as well. 1 question that’s probably on a lot of peoples minds: why did we close our successful bakery after 11 years?

The answer is a bit long and needs a lot of explaining, but we can tell you this, we needed to find a way to make our company ready for the future and in order to do that we needed time. Time we didn’t have because we were working in our bakery. It’s like the dilemma of the chicken and the egg, what to do first.

So a very scary step that hopefully brings us forward and towards a more sustainable future for sharp sharp filled with beautiful and delicious cakies.

Did you miss us already? We definitely miss you and our cakies 😉
We know we have been very quiet, not because we fled the country because of fans chasing us for the last Sharpies 😉
but because we have been fulltime building and finishing our Campervan ( more about our Vannie later )

July 15th, we finally left for our road trip through Europe for at least 6 months. 4 months in and we’re ready to share it all 😊

Yesterday we handed in the key of our unit in the . Our bakery is packed and in storage, taking a break as well.

But first a huge huge thank you to all of you, who made our goodbye so memorable, filled with so much love as well as tears and sharing of beautiful memories. Thousand times thank you from our hearts.

This week we will come back to the messages and emails that we left unanswered in these past weeks of running around and working round the clock.

Hopefully you still enjoy your last sharpies and cherish the beautiful memories as well.

Our last event has arrived, today .district, a place which has been our home for the last year since we closed our store. So pack your cooling-bags, bring your cake loving friends and share the cake love for the last time with us. Thanks for all the messages everyone, we will come back to you.

So here is a message from the bakery, we are bit silent but super busy and we just finished making almost 1000 pieces • My darling rose • cakes today and we still need to make 2910 pieces of other cakes this week to finish all the orders. We want everyone to enjoy Sharp Sharp for as long as possible and we know a lot of you already stacked your freezers with our goodies.

These last weeks have been chaotic, busy, sad and happy at the same time with so many of you coming over and sharing the cake love. We are getting ready for our last event ever (probably) this Saturday, which will be at our production site .district .

Saturday it will be our last market, which feels bittersweet since it will be a celebration on the market we started 11 years ago as well as a first farewell from our Sharp Sharp community and dream. So we’re bringing a huge load of cakes, lots of love and for sure tears as well but grateful to see everyone, thank everyone and to look forward for what the future will bring. see you Saturday.

Time flies, it’s already May which means that we’re in our last month of baking Sharpies, making plans for our last 2 events and in the mean time getting ready to close down our company. But first 4 more weeks of just baking & enjoying what we love to do so much these past 11 years, creating beautiful and delicious cakes with the best ingredients nature gave us.
