Sometimes the simplest things in life are the best.
Since 1978, the shawarma eatery Ben Cohen has been a household name in Amsterdam for the late night snacker.
Mr. Ben Cohen was one of the first to start an Israeli shawarma restaurant in the Netherlands. His restaurant is where people first started pouring garlic sauce on their shawarma. Back then, you never would find garlic sauce anywhere else. But thanks to Cohen the sauce became indispensable and available everywhere.
After running the business for 38 years, Cohen is passing the baton on to his sons. Allon and Dalien Cohen have transformed the shawarma palace into an atmospheric street food restaurant where you can enjoy the flavors of Tel Aviv.
