Getting your cake temperature and baking time right can be the difference between a perfectly baked cake and a dry, sunken or burnt cake! 😩
Here’s your simple Cake Baking Temperature & Time Guide 👇🏽
📌 Sponge Cake: 170–180°C | 25–35 mins
📌 Butter Cake: 175°C | 35–45 mins
📌 Pound Cake: 160–170°C | 50–60 mins
📌 Fruit Cake: 150–160°C | 1.5–2 hrs
📌 Cupcakes: 175–180°C | 18–22 mins
🔥 OUR TIP: Avoid opening your oven during the first 20 minutes of baking. Your cake needs stable heat to rise properly!
