“When you stop surviving… that’s when you start living.” — Korede Bello 💭
“Think about how different young people in Nigeria and across Africa would be if they had access to basic needs.
If money wasn’t a problem, what would you learn?
It’s a privilege to follow your curiosity — to learn things not tied to your survival.
One of the greatest threats to curiosity is poverty.
So many people who could change the world can’t explore their potential,
because they’re being led by hunger, not passion.
When your basic needs aren’t met,
how can you be curious about the world when all you can think about is what to eat tonight? 🍞
Look at the ultra-wealthy — many of them are deeply educated,
not just in schools, but in life.
They learn about nature, science, history — even things outside their business —
because they can afford to.
I know so much about how the world works, but I’m a musician.
And I can only afford to follow my curiosity because I no longer have to fight to survive.
When you stop surviving… that’s when you truly start living.
But sadly, so many people never get that chance.” 💔
