If I were diagnosed with diabetes today, these are the first 5 things I’d focus on to take control of my health and protect my future.

No extreme diets. No starving myself. No completely giving up the foods I love.
Just intentional, sustainable changes that actually fit into real life.

If you’ve recently been diagnosed with diabetes, prediabetes, or you’re struggling to get your blood sugar under control, send me a “DIABETES” DM. Let’s work on it together.

The foods you love can still fit into your health goals.

Managing your blood sugar doesn’t mean you have to completely give up rice, bread, yam, pasta or the foods you enjoy.

Sometimes, it’s about learning how to portion, pair and modify your meals so you can enjoy them while still working towards your health goals.

And this is exactly the kind of practical nutrition guidance we’ll be exploring inside my 30-Day Blood Sugar Reset Bootcamp.

You’ll learn how to build blood sugar friendly meals, understand portions, modify familiar foods, and make changes that are realistic enough to sustain.

Bread can absolutely be part of a healthy diet.
But when it comes to weight loss or blood sugar management, the conversation shouldn’t always be about Which bread is allowed
Sometimes, it’s more about understanding how to make the foods you already eat work better for your goals.

If you’re trying to manage your weight, blood sugar, or another nutrition related condition and you’re tired of figuring it out alone, send me a DM to book a consultation.

Your meals don’t have to be boring to be beneficial.

1) Healthy food can still make you gain weight if you’re eating more energy than you need.
Foods like ,Avocado, nuts, granola, smoothies, freshly squeezed juices ,peanut butter are nutritious but portions still matter.

2) OMAD, Keto , and other highly restrictive approaches are usually not sustainable!
If a plan can fit into your actual life, allow you eat foods you enjoy and still make progress then , You’ll lose the weight, stop the diet, regain it, start another restrictive diet, lose again and repeat the cycle.

3) Stop looking for foods that “burn belly fat.”
No particular food selectively melts abdominal fat. Fat loss happens as part of overall lifestyle, diet and sometimes biology.

4) You cannot out exercise an eating pattern that consistently puts you in a calorie surplus.
Exercise is important, but don’t use your workout as permission to eat anything and everything afterward.

5) You don’t need another detox. You need consistency.
Your liver and kidneys already detox your body. Stop spending money on detox teas and start eating better consistently.

6) “I barely eat” doesn’t automatically mean you’re in a calorie deficit.
Snacks, drinks, oils, weekend eating and portion sizes can add up quickly.

7) You don’t need to remove carbs to lose weight.
You need a balanced diet, appropriate portions, adequate protein and fibre, and an overall energy intake that supports your goal.

8 You don’t need to be hungry to know your diet is working.
Extreme hunger isn’t a badge of honour. If you’re constantly starving, your approach probably needs adjusting.

9) Stop waiting for new Month to start.
You can start making better choices from your very next meal.
If you’re struggling with weight management, prediabetes, diabetes, or simply don’t know where to start, send me a DM to book a consultation.

12 hours later and our yogurt is beautifully set!
In this part, I showed you how I

1)Strained half of the yogurt to achieve a thicker, creamier consistency
2)Kept the other half as drinking yogurt
3)Used the strained yogurt to make a simple breakfast parfait
And because one batch can do so much, I also used the same yogurt to make a lighter homemade salad cream alternative (recipe coming next).

Save this series so you can easily come back to it when you’re ready to make your own yogurt.
