So my student tried to bake chocolate cake the other day for the first time ever. No supervision, no lifeline... just pure vibes, Inshallah, and premium chaos. 😩

I just dey look the cake like, “Wait first... is this not the same recipe I’ve been using since 2020? Or did I mistakenly summon chocolate yam from Canada?” 😭

My blood pressure start to do chaka kpum chaka kpum! This girl nearly give me BP oh! But Mercy said “No!” Somebody clap hand for Jesus! 🙌🏽

Fast forward to today, we tried it again. Because in Krystal’s Baking Class, second chance is always a good idea 🤗

Sometime in the past, a prospect reached out and wanted me to recreate a luxury piece from one of naija's finest top bakers. The prototype was a castle wedding cake with sugar flowers, lights and other orishirishi (the ideal baker's dream cake order). So I meticulously did my costing and sent her the quotation.

2 seconds casala don burst 🤣😂🤣. Madam was not having any of it so I politely directed her to the original creator's social media page. She must have reached out to them and heard their price before she came back to preach to me "ehn Krystal, I'm sure we can find a middle ground"...... We couldn't close that deal and it was quite sad for me cos I was really excited to have my first castle wedding cake order.

God being so kind compensated me shortly after that when a beautiful bride reached out for one of my classics at her traditional wedding and of course I delivered excellence🤗
