Years ago i got an order to make 100 pieces of small chops
50 samosa and 50 spring roll with 100 pieces of puff puff.

Payment was made and i was super duper excited... As per my first bulk small chops order 😁😁

Everything was going really smooth until it was time to start making wraps. I made the first 15 then 20, by the time i made 30 wraps i don start to dey cry😂

My hands hurts, my backs hurts and the worst part is that the wraps kept on tearing. So before i could one and get it right, five must have teared. I couldn't do it No more.

I called someone, a fellow baker to come and help me that i will pay, she came made a fresh batter for wraps and started making wraps. Nah that girl save me that day.

It wasn't easy at all but after all set and done, I delivered the chops. I was so scared that my client would complain because it was opening when i was frying it. But he called and said it was nice. Omo😭

After that day i started ignoring small chops work. I swore never to make small chops again. But then over the years I've registered for more than four small chops class and I've become a pro.

I've delivered 500 pieces of small chops, 200 pieces, not to talk of platters with so many good nd amazing reviews. Look at how neat and smooth my chops are👇🥰

I never knew about Cinammon roll untill early last year. I baked it the first time, shared to my neighbours. They loved it and started demanding more for them to buy. And we've made sales from selling it. Most of them still have difficulty pronouncing the name well😂😂

Sometimes quit from giving them the regular stuffs, introduce them to new different things. Let them try it first from you🥰

Steady practice is very good in this our baking business. You can have a good tutor, did all your project well but if you don't practice for a long time. Any day you decide to maybe do fondant, you'll find out that you are now struggling to do it.

The moment you leave something for a while, it gradually leaves you. So if you are not getting Jobs yet, buy dummy, cover it with buttercream or fondant. Make a very good design and use them for advert.

As for pastries, you can make them and supply to shops in your street for a start. Advertise yourself and your brand at any given opportunity.

Building business has never been easy but staying idle is more hard. So would you rather stay idle or would you stoop to conquer?

This order was baked, decorated and delivered in 4 hours

My customer called me by 2 and ordered for cake, said she will need it that evening or latest tomorrow morning. I baked the cake and decided to decorate the next morning cause I've run out of time. I closed my shop and went home.

She called back and said there was a change of plan and she will need the cake that evening. I was already at home but i dressed up, went back to the shop, decorated and delivered this beauty🥰

In the early morning of this last Saturday around 5:45 am
A customer chatted me up and said she wanted 400 pieces of ready to fry chops by 10 am.

Then i told her that considering the time frame, it will not be possible but i can deliver 200 pieces by 12 am. She agreed, made payment and before 12 the chops were ready.

She came, picked it up and left❤️
