It’s the 8th slide for me😋.
In Nigeria, Weddings is a big deal as it is the coming together of families and cultures not just the couple…
In this scenario, this is a conjugal bliss between two tribes/cultures; the Yoruba (bride) and Edo (groom).
The common similarity they share is that these tribes/cultures are found within the tropical rainforest of south west Nigeria.
This is depicted with the extravagant cultural elements on the cake.
The woody effect explains the dense evergreen trees of the tropical rainforest. The tropical rain forest is also endowed with palm trees which produces palm wine hence the gourd of palm wine
The coral beads? The coral beads embellish the rich culture of both tribes. Show me a royal family without beads.
The royal families of Yoruba and Edo tribes are identified by their rich coral beads hence its importance on the cake.
These are the cultural elements displayed on the cake.
