Last week Monday, I made a cake for a little boy. His mum and I used to enter keke together, that’s how we became friends. That cake came out so beautiful, especially the color combination. It was one of those designs that just sits well in your spirit.

Now fast forward to this new order.

This present customer had already chosen her own color. Everything was set. Then she saw the cake I made on Monday.

And she fell in love with the color.

Just like that, she changed her mind and said, “I want that exact color, but with a different theme.”

I tried small to explain. I suggested alternatives. I thought maybe we should keep her original idea so it would be different. But she insisted. She wanted that color.

So I listened.

Lucky for us, NEPA gave us light that day. No stress, no rushing. Just smooth decorating and focus.

In the end, we recreated that beautiful color in a fresh theme for her 6 year old son. Same color that stole her heart. New design. New story. And it came out clean, unique, and beautiful in its own way.

It reminded me of something.

When your work speaks, you won’t need to convince people too much. The right ones will see it and say, “I want that.”

And that’s exactly what happened.

Some cakes come with a little extra story behind them.

I met this amazing mum last year while we were always entering keke together with her little boy. We became friends, and funny enough, I didn’t even tell her I bake cakes then. Life happened, we stopped seeing each other for a while, and when we reconnected in January, I finally mentioned my business. She smiled and said, “My baby’s birthday is in February.”

This month, she trusted me with her son’s cake 🤍
While decorating, NEPA decided to do what it does best. No light. So I brought out my power bank, used its torch, and finished the cake with patience and love. I waited till morning light to take proper pictures, because some things deserve to be seen clearly.

This cake reminds me that sometimes, your next customer is already close to you. And even when conditions are not perfect, passion will always find a way.

While I saw make baking this cake I had so many thoughts. Which I be sharing
You see a man who accepts his responsibility and knows what it means to be father in the life of his can never be forgotten by the children. This client of mine was so intentional about what he wants for his daughter birthday. He made agreement month before he day. In all if you give your children a home they will have memories to return home when you need them or when you are home.
That why bible said whatever a man sow he will reap. If you so peaceful home, you definitely reap but you so pain nobody will tell you when the time comes.
