Our of the week is Omoyemi Akerele. is the founder and executive director of Style House Files, a creative development agency and Lagos Fashion and Design Week. Before her fashion career, she had a strong background in Law. She graduated from University of Lagos with a BA in Law, and has an MSc in International Economic Law from University of Warwick. After graduating, she worked at Olaniwun Ajayi a Nigerian law firm before moving into fashion. She became a fashion editor for True Love, a lifestyle magazine and in 2011, she founded LFDW a fashion event that brings together designers and fashion entrepreneurs. The event has played a key role in raising the profile of the Nigerian Fashion Industry both locally and internationally.

Our of the week is Adenike Ogunlesi. is the founder and creative director of Ruff ‘n’ Tumble, one of the best of children’s clothing brand in Nigeria. While she was in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria studying law, she opted out of school in her second year, and decided to join her mum in the fashion business. In the process, she discovered her love for fashion and created her own Children’s fashion brand Ruff ‘n’ Tumble. Today, Ruff ‘n’ Tumble presently operates a warehouse, a factory and has many retail outlets in major cities in Nigeria as well as several distributors around West Africa. She has won numerous awards like the City People Awards - Female Achievers in the Children’s Fashion Sector 2001, the Glam Awards 2014 – special honor as a game changer in the Children’s fashion industry. She is also a mentor at the Mara Foundation and was featured in the Africa Open for Business documentary.

Our of the week is . Femi Oke is a British-Nigerian Journalist, Media Trainer, Television and Radio Correspondent. She has a BA in English literature and language from Birmingham University. She started her career at age 14 working as a junior reporter for the UK’s first talk radio station London Broadcasting Company. She joined the British Broadcasting Corporation as a radio reporter and producer after graduating from the university. After that, she spent nine years anchoring and reporting for CNN Centre in Atlanta and she currently works for Al Jazeera English. She was presented with an African Choice Award by ECOWAS for her work in Africa.
