2023! AN AMAZING YEAR INDEED!
Hi I’m Nzenwa Deborah. I’m a student, a cake artist and a pastry chef based in Lagos, Nigeria. 😊
Thinking about the year so far and there’s a rush of mixed feelings. The wins and the losses, the good and bad moments, the happy days and the really sad days. They say all of these feelings and experiences makes us stronger, right?
The year started on a good note for me but along the line, I got really confused and discouraged. I remember a particular time i could not sleep at night, I would spend the whole night thinking then I would later force myself to lie down and sleep in the midnight.
Reviewing my plans and goals for the year and realising there’s still a lot that has not been achieved. They say the year is not yet over and there’s still a lot that can be done in the remaining days of the year. My hopes are still very high and I’m still positive.
To be very honest, I feel like there were more “not so good” moments than the “good” moments this year but settling down to think of everything again, I would say the “not so good” moments was needed for my growth. I swallowed really hard pills but it was important for my personal development and growth.
One thing I did to sustain my happiness was genuinely celebrating little wins. 🥳
I got a new extension because my old one stopped working, I was so excited that I had to make a video of it. It felt like I had bought my dream mixer.
I’m super grateful for growth, even though it was not easy, I’m still grateful!
I grew up hearing “Experience is the best teacher”. Truthfully, I never had a clear or perfect understanding of the phrase but you see now ehnn, I can beat my chest and tell you that truly, “Experience is the best teacher” 😂
2023 has been such an experience and I’m so glad and grateful to have witnessed it thus far.
So tell me, how has the year been for you so far? I would love to hear from you too. 🥰
PS: Instagram did not let me search for audios myself, I don’t know why. They kept suggesting their own audios to me, so I had to pick the most peaceful.
