So I noticed someone lifted my plantain chips picture and posted it on her page.
I guess she’s an upcoming vendor, and honestly I wish her well. But what didn’t sit right with me was coming to my page to take pictures without even a single like or comment.

When I saw the post, I thought of commenting… then I remembered that peace is more important than proving a point. I won’t bring myself low.

Going forward, all my plantain chips pictures will carry my label — SOMI Spicy Plantain Chips — except when I’m personally featured in the picture. I don’t really have time for editing or watermark stress, which is exactly why my stickers stay on my packs.

Original work deserves respect. We all start somewhere, but integrity should come first.

When I deliver my spicy plantain chips, what customers see is a beautiful, neatly-dressed lady with a smile 😍💓
What they don’t see is the same woman sitting beside hot oil, frying batch after batch, sweating, pushing through the stress to make sure everything tastes perfect.
But at the end of the day, the hustle pays my bills — and that alone is enough motivation ❤🔥
