MY BAKING JOURNEY – PART 2 🥹✨
You remember I said the training fee for just one day was ₦10k and I still had to buy the ingredients myself right? 😅
She planned to teach me cake and cookies because I love cookies so much and she makes very sweet ones. She even wrote the ingredients for the cookies for me to buy.
But guess what?
I didn’t have money for the cookies ingredients 😭
Meanwhile, I was writing my WAEC during this period ooo.
Pressure from exam.
Pressure from baking.
Pressure from life 😅
So I bought the cake ingredients with the money my friend gave me for her birthday cake.
Yes ooo… remember I was the one that convinced her to do birthday cake so I could use the opportunity to learn? 😂
But when I calculated everything, the money wasn’t enough.
And I couldn’t tell her the money wasn’t enough because what if she says she’s no longer doing cake again? 🥹
That would mean no training. No opportunity. Nothing.
I had to think fast.
The only thing remaining to buy was flour.
And there was no money again.
There is this guy in my class, his mum sells flour.
I swallowed my pride and told him, “Please, I need flour.” 🥹
He agreed and told me to come to their house to collect it.
Of course I didn’t go alone o 😂
I carried one of my friends along because when it comes to men, I am very very careful 😌😂
We went there, collected the flour and left immediately.
When I say I trekked to my tutor’s place, I TREKKED.
That place was farrrrr.
But when you’re chasing something bigger than you, distance will not stop you.
So my friend and I carried everything, ingredients, hope, determination, and trekked down to the place.
When we finally got there…
To be continued 🥹✨
