As an aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and the effect of lockdown in 2020, I realized that the whole stretch of Allen, Ikeja had no known bread bakery anymore, and that the bread we consumed in the area wasn't made here. At the time, I was a home baker, and I made and sold bread to the residents of my estate. I couldn't meet demands at some point due to capacity; even, my dear mixer broke down as a result of overuse, since it wasn't a dough mixer.
Till this moment, I've nursed the dream of adding the bread line to my business. I've saved, even interned at a local bread bakery in Oke-Ira, Ogba to gather real-time experience in preparation for starting a bread bakery. While I'm waiting on my bread bakery's realization; I decided to renovate a bigger place for my business -presently for cakes and desserts.
The expansion of space is also in preparation for the vision of bread making line, with plan to make hot delicious bread ranging from organic to our daily sweet bread of various types with the residents of Allen Avenue and environs -where my bakery is located- as the target market. However, this has been stifled by financial constraints from getting a new place to equipping it as inflation in Nigeria is evident; consequently, in the baking industry.
It remains my dream to tap into the waiting market of Allen residents and the traffic going to and from work because I'm strategically located close to the major Allen Roundabout/Alade Market bustop; side by side, capturing attention of passersby with delicious bread aroma.
When I get the IWD grant, my bread making line will shoot up because I'll get a one bag dough mixer, as well as, a bread slicing machine; this will ensure a soft landing to success for my bread making line for .
Thank you
