Here are key things every baker must consider:
1. Cost of Ingredients
Flour, sugar, butter, eggs, cream… everything adds up. Never estimate—calculate.
2. Time & Effort
From baking to decorating, your time is valuable. Don’t work for free.
3. Design Complexity
Simple cakes ≠ custom luxury cakes. The more detailed the design, the higher the price.
4. Utilities & Overhead
Gas, electricity, packaging, tools—these are part of your cost too.
5. Your Skill Level
You’re not a beginner anymore. Your experience and consistency should reflect in your price.
6. Market Position
Are you selling budget cakes or premium cakes? Price according to the value you offer—not pressure from customers.
7. Profit Margin
If you’re not making profit, you’re running a hobby, not a business.

Let’s fix that today!
What causes cake bulges?
👉 Overfilled layers (too much frosting inside)
👉 Soft or unstable fillings
👉 Poor stacking or uneven layers
👉 No time given for the cake to settle

How to prevent it like a pro:
✨ Don’t overfill your cake
Keep your filling layers even and controlled. More is not always better!
✨ Create a buttercream dam
Pipe a thick ring of buttercream around the edge before adding filling. This holds everything in place.
✨ Use firm fillings
Avoid overly soft or runny fillings—they shift and cause pressure.
✨ Stack evenly
Make sure each layer is level. A tilted cake will definitely bulge.
✨ Chill your cake
After stacking, chill your cake for at least 20–30 minutes. This helps it settle before final coating.
✨ Crumb coat + rest
Apply a crumb coat and let it rest before your final layer. This seals everything in.

Pro angle :
If you notice a bulge forming, gently smooth it out and chill the cake again before continuing.

Here are the REAL reasons your cake dries out:
❌ You overbaked it
Even 5 extra minutes can steal all the moisture
❌ You didn’t wrap it
Leaving your cake open = letting air dry it out
❌ You stored it wrongly
Fridge without proper covering? That’s dryness loading…
❌ You skipped simple syrup
Especially for layered cakes — this step matters!

✅ What you should do instead:

Remove cake once it’s just done

Wrap while slightly warm

Store in an airtight container

Add light sugar syrup when needed

Baking doesn’t end in the oven…that’s where cake care begins 💯
