Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup (225g) butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar (or use all white sugar if you don’t have brown)
2 eggs
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
1–1½ cups chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Cream butter and sugars
In a bowl, beat butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add eggs + vanilla
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Add vanilla and mix well.
3. Combine dry ingredients
In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
4. Form the dough
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
5. Chill (optional but recommended)
Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes for thicker, chewier cookies.
6. Bake
Scoop dough onto a lined baking tray.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden.
Let cool on the tray for 5 minutes before moving.
Tips for Perfect Cookies
✨ Use half white + half brown sugar for extra chewiness
✨ Don’t overbake — they firm up as they cool
✨ For bakery look, press a few chips on top before baking
