I was contacted by a baker for a freelance tutoring job for her student. She said she got my number from one of the schools I’m currently coaching, that she saw how I coach beginners class to be professionals. which I politely declined because the two days absence from my shop is already affecting my business.
So I asked her a simple question, “ Are you a full time baker or do you have other work you are doing that’s making you look for a cake coach to fill in the gap” she literally said she’s a full time baker.
So here is the advice: Ma since you are a full time baker who needs a professional in this field you are looking for, I can organize a private upgrade class for you so you will be able to coach your own students after learning
She said okay, welI gave her my price, she said,“no, its too much “
So I was like “paying me this amount monthly to coach your students and paying me this amount with a life time access to upgrade your own skills that might fetch you more students in your area, which is more expensive?. Because it’s obvious the person you got my contact from didn’t tell you how much she’s paying me monthly for a once in a week class with her student.
The purpose of this post is to remind you That sometimes you don’t need a freelance tutor to do the work you can do if you had gone for upgrade.
