MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I'm Radhiyat Abdullahi, the Founder/ Managing Director of Radhi Bakes & Events (R’Bakes for short). The motivation to start R’Bakes & Events was deeply rooted in a mix of passion, necessity, and a desire to create impact. Baking began as a therapeutic hobby during a challenging phase in my life. What started as a personal escape quickly transformed into something bigger when friends and family began requesting cakes and pastries for their events. With each order, my confidence grew, and I saw the opportunity to turn my skill into a sustainable source of income.
Beyond personal fulfillment, I realized a huge gap in the market. Many people desired quality, affordable, and reliable baked products that not only tasted good but were beautifully presented. I was also drawn to the fact that baking could empower others. I envisioned a platform where women, especially stay-at-home moms and young people, could learn baking as a skill and use it to build financial independence.
Radhi Bakes & Events was founded to combine purpose and passion—to serve joy through cakes and pastries, and to train others who may not have had a traditional path to employment.
Starting my baking business gave me hope and a renewed sense of purpose. It has allowed me to earn a halal living, build a small community, and become a positive influence to others with similar dreams. It's been a journey, and I'm so proud of how far we've come!
