Today, I honour a man who didn’t just raise me. He had my back and supported me.

My dad didn’t have to, but he chose to stand behind Fomar’s Confectionery, especially when i moved from Warri.

He made sure orders were dispatched, and he stayed up late with my mom to help me bake just to ensure my customers were satisfied.

Since he passed, it’s been hard, especially running the branch in Warri. But every time I bake, I feel him near, I hear his voice cracking jokes. And I know he’s still cheering me on, just from a higher place.

Happy Father’s Day in heaven, Daddy.

Hi, I’m Ufuoma Joan Odije, and this page is personal.

Not just because I rebranded it with my name, but because everything I do is personal.

I’m the heart behind Fomar’s Confectionery, a homegrown passion that spun into a business.

I didn’t just start Fomar’s to make banana bread. I started it to make something that feels like home. Something warm, nourishing, honest. Every loaf is a reminder that even in chaos, sweetness still exists.

When my world fell apart after losing my dad, when everything in me wanted to pause, it was this little voice that whispered: "Don’t stop."

So here I am. Showing up. Rebuilding. Not just a business, but a brand that reflects who I am; mother, wife, baker, dreamer. This page is where I’ll be sharing more than products. I’ll be sharing the journey. The grit. The grace. The behind-the-scenes. The real me.
