Okay besties! The reason why I don’t accept urgent orders is because of the egg crisis we are now facing. Kadang banyak kadang takde! One tray of your favourite kek lapis (depending on flavour) requires between 15-30 eggs. And I only use Grade As. I don’t want to get stressed out about eggs. Give me advance notice tau…minimum 10 days.

This batter here (spekkoek) has 30 egg yolks!

Hey besties! Buat apa tu? Riri dah hujung2 tahun ni kena cuti! Preparing myself, physically and mentally, for my next project. The biggest one will be for Raya 2023. Coming soon and launching soon. Meantime, this is Lapis Prunes. Kemanisan kek ni dan semua kek2 lapis di LLMR (Lapis Legit Mbak Riri) is controlled. Manis lite2 je ♥️

The first one, also the best seller since forever, is the original Lapis Legit Spekkoek. Lapis Spekkoek is a popular Indonesian cake that is characterized by its 10-20 thin layers of rich, moist, buttery and lightly spiced. ⠀

Hey everyone! I really appreciate your being here. I am Mbak Riri and I am your Lapis Legit specialist. My journey in the cake industry started in 2010. With a passed-down recipe from my late mom, I started my baking adventure with just Kek Lapis and Pineapple Tarts. Over the years, after hundreds of Lapis Legit and tens of thousands of Kuih Tart, I tried my hands on cake artistry before I threw in the towel in 2020 (serious case of burnout 🤭). ⠀

After 3 years of blissful rest (read: K-dramas morning, day and night plus my illustration work), I think I’m ready to start layering again. So please stay tuned to this space as I have a few new flavours coming up (on top of my best sellers which are Spekkoek and Lapis Prunes). ⠀

I started my baking journey all the way back in 2001. No IG no Facebook. Even the Internet connection was almost non existent back then. Kuih tart and kek lapis betawi were the first few items on the menu. The first year of Raya production witnessed a whopping 22k pineapple tarts and hundreds of kek lapis. Looking back, I still wondered how I managed all that single-handedly! I don’t have tens of thousands of followers here on IG or Facebook but I’m blessed to still have these faithful customers from when I first started.

Now, 18 years later, I am finally calling it quits! Ni buat untuk anak2 dan yang tersayang je! Yang mana tanya kalau Kakak boleh jual resepi....noooooooo!!! 😁
