1. Use fresh ingredients
👉This is because, old ingredients taste bad, and old yeasts (like baking soda) simply don’t work.
2. Measure the ingredients properly
👉Make sure you use the exact measurements and ingredients as stated in the recipe. You can't just add more baking powder if you want your cake to rise more or substitute self-raising flour for plain. Use measuring spoons rather than tableware to ensure accuracy.
3. Ingredients are mixed thoroughly
👉This is intended to prevent the cake from rising unevenly, settling and a rough cake texture.
4. Cool the cake
👉Cool the cake in the pan for a few minutes and then place it in freezer
5. Unmold the cake gently
👉When you are ready, gently run a sharp, thin knife between the edge of the pan and the cake and unmold the cake gently.
